Blush 2.0 is a true-breeding (OP) cherry tomato. It is a long golden-yellow cherry tomato with pink marbling and yellow stripes that become visible when marbling occurs. Blush 2.0's flavor is bright, sweet and tropical, similar to the original Blush. It is an indeterminate vine and grows well in containers and in the ground.
Blush 2.0 is a good producer, and plants are not as wispy as Blush plants. The shelf life of Blush 2.0 is better than that of Blush, and fruit splitting is less common. Early in the season they typically do not show much marbling when ripe, but as the season progresses, peak ripeness better correlates with marbling. Flavors change with different stages of ripening, and growers are encouraged to try all ripeness stages, starting with those where there are still green streaks on the shoulders of the fruit.
Blush 2.0 is not a variant of Blush. It is a distinct new variety selected from an original cross between Lucky Tiger and an unreleased breeding line in our collection. Since Lucky Tiger was developed from Blush, this makes Blush 2.0 a "grand-daughter" of the original Blush.
