Pasilla Apaseo are native of Oaxaca Mexico. They grew really well for us in 2020. We also got some good feedback from customers. The Pasilla Apaseo chiles have a smokey sweet flavour typical of brown chiles. They can be used green and are delicious roasted. They dry really well. Once dried they are even better and can be used to season stews, marinades and rubs. I also use these in my homemade Salsa Macha. The pods are gorgeous and can reach just over 10 inches. They ripened to brown a little earlier than the other Pasillas we carry.
