This was such a surprise from 2019 when I grew as many Peruvian peppers as I can find! Peruviano Arancio ended up being one of my favourites even though it is a lesser known variety.
The plants were very prolific and earlier than many of the more popular Peruvian peppers and the pods beautiful and delicious! The pods turn from green to vibrant orange (Amarillo) and often gets some purpling in them. The flesh is thick and crispy and the flavour similar to the famous Amarillo. Fruity, sweet and pretty hot, I’d say this is a bit hotter than Amarillo. These would be great stuffed because they have a nice big cavity.
A very easy variety to grow that will ripen in our area.
