(Capsicum bacattum)-The Sugar Rush Stripey pepper is a Sugar Rush Peach with stripes. The stripes will mostly be red or dark orange. The story starts with Master grower Jukka of Finland seeing the variation appear in his experimental greenhouse in 2010-2011. He later shared seeds with Wales Master grower Chris Fowler who grew it out for a few years then shared seeds back to Jukka. After that Jukka continued working on it doing selection. We obtained our seed stock from Jukka in 2020. In our 2021 grow we had a good average of striped peppers. Occasionally we would see a solid red one but that was about 1 in 50 peppers. The flavor is like the original Sugar Rush Peach which is fruity. The heat level is just above Jalapeno in our opinion. The Sugar Rush Stripey chile plants grow just over 4 feet tall. The peppers average about 4 inches in length and about 1 inch in width. They can be used to make sauces, salsa or stir fry.
